More Flowerdale Sugar Gliders
April 12, 2011
This video stars the Sugar Gliders snapped in a previous Upper King Parrot Creek Rd post, from David and Laurie’s place.
Nest boxes are certainly proving popular for Sugar Gliders in Flowerdale since the 2009 fires. And they are not fussy about the design. This small box at the Three Sisters was intended for pardalotes, but is now home to a Sugar Glider. It appears from the chewed area around the entrance that a rosella has investigated the box as a potential nesting site.
In the video sequence, a Black Rat shows some interest in the box about an hour after the glider has departed.
